M
The M cassette was a product by Matsushita and RCA, launched in 1982. You can recognise them by their grey colour and the letter ‘M’. Unfortunately, this carrier had but little success.
MII
Stimulated by the flop of the M cassette, the quest for a newer, better variety began, to at least gain some market share. The result was MII, which initially had some success.
