In the early 1990s, Philips and Matsushita went looking for a successor for the analogue Compact Cassette. It became the DCC. The format knew no breakthrough, causing the production to stop in 1996 already.
A DCC tape is similar in shape and size to the Compact Cassettes, but it has a metal clip.
