Lots of photos are found on digital media these days – e.g. SD cards, hard drives (external or in your PC), digital cameras, USB sticks, tablets, smartphones, etc. – which has led to all this image content becoming extremely dispersed, and therefore often much less visible. This disorganised storage makes it much more complicated to archive visual content in a sustainable way.
