A CD-Video is easily recognisable by its golden colour. This optical disk was launched in 1987 in three different formats: 5 inch, 8 inch and 12 inch.

Low storage capacity
The CD-Video were mainly used for the distribution of music videos. You could store 5 minutes of video on the smallest format. If you only wanted to store audio, you could select 20 minutes of your favourite music.
